MOTHER UCKERS
Flight of the Conchords Season Two premiers on HBO in January next year. I guess I could try and find it on Ebay a little after that!
VIVA LA VIDA
Coldplay have answered my prayers.
Not that long ago I was searching the net for any sign that Coldplay would come down to Australia and make me happy :).
I recall mentioning to someone that it would be awesome if they did, and I got the reply that they had not that long ago. Which by the way, to whomever said that to me, that was in 2006! Not recent at all.
So listening to the radio and COLDPLAY IS COMING MARCH NEXT YEAR WOOOOO!
I cannot just wish and hope for this and not go, right? So I am going to Coldplay's concert. Hopefully haha. I don't even know who to ask to come with me, I don't know who listens to Coldplay really. Hmm so next step find at least one person. Then buy tickets during pre-sales :) :).

HMM
I don't have anything to blog about anymore. Nothing to say, or to show. I've been racking my brain for a few days now trying to think of anything.
One half of my wardrobe is done. My dad was putting in shelves, he started beginning of september or late august. So annoyed that it took him one day to put in shelves, but he did it nearly two months from when he started. Just felt like everytime he did some work on it, he took a step backwards. I'm glad that that half is all done. He just has to put in two more rods on the other side, and it's all done! yay!! The shelves look nice. I'll get pictures up when I can be bothered.
Hm what else. Oh my charger died like last friday. It smoked, sparked and a bit of fire came out. So no laptop usage :(. I don't like using the home computer. I get told to go to bed as well, which is lame. But I don't really want to go buy a new charger just yet. I really want to save my money. I don't know what to do. Maybe I'll ebay it and see if I can save a substantial amount.
Oh and I bought a very pretty maxi dress from a store outside of Liverpool Westfields called Runway 88. The brand is Cashmere. So cute! It's a creamy white, with a painted flowers print. I love it. Just haven't worn it out yet :( :(.
That's about all I can think about. xx

WHINGING!
I have a headache, and at the same time my head is spinning.
My eyes are watery and painfully itchy.
I'm hungry; but all I've been doing for the past four to five days is stuffing my face because my appetite has increased like ten fold! I'm really not sure if dinner is being served downstairs or not yet, even though it's past 11pm.
I am in a serious whiny mood.
I'm so tired, but there's this massive force inside of me keeping me awake. It's really killing me! grrr!!

NO CUSSING!
A 14 year old school kid from the states has started a no cussing club to encourage people to "Raise our Level of Communication". McKay Hatch originally challenged his friends to "No Cussing", this then spread into the wider community as a club. The website claims that over 20 000 people worldwide have joined his campaign.
I watched his interview on the Dr. Phil show a few weeks ago. He pretty much said that he wanted people to find other ways to release our frustration and anger instead of using unnecessary swearing. But Dr. Phil asked him whether he uses any other words that sound (or rhyme) with swear words in the place of profanities, and he does. So how is that greatly different from actually swearing?
The kid has created a rap video, written a book with substitute words and there are even club shirts. xx

5 FRIENDS
A whole heap of celebrities who are members of the non-partisan PSAs; including Leonardo DiCaprio, Courtney Cox, Forrest Whitaker, and Will Smith; have created two videos encouraging American youths. The first video, released 1st October is encouraging youths to register to vote, whereas the second; released 29th October is encouraging youth to vote on November 4th. The point is to arouse the realisation of the importance of this event, and what outcomes can be gained from taking control of your future.
The concept of 5 friends is to send the video to five of your friends, who'll then send it onto five of their friends and thus a domino effect will begin. The first video fulfilled it's purpose with many people registering before their respected deadlines.

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!
It's my birthday and I remember months ago Saranpaal promised me a big 19th! Well?, where's my big 19th?? Oh well.
So, I'm officially 19. God that sounds yucky! It's my last year in the teens and then I'll be joining the 20's. Not looking forward to that either really. I wish I could stop getting older. Sometimes i forget and tell people that I'm 16 lol. I need to stop living in the past, but oh how nice it would be to be 16 again!
I'm not really considering today as my birthday in my mind, cause it doesn't feel like my birthday. I didn't get to spend the day with loads of people that I love and care about. So until that happens, the feeling's probably not going to sink in. hmm! frustratingggg!!

"NOT LONG NOW"
It's my nineteenth birthday tomorrow. I find nineteen to be an ugly age, it's just the number really. No one has ever shared that view, or thought i was anything less than weird lol. Well no one until Thursday night when Manit agreed! A very exciting first lol.
I've never been excited about birthdays in the past. But in saying that, I've never not looked forward to them. Just never been phased. Always felt like an ordinary day. Nothing special going on. Oddly though, I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. I don't know why. Just feels like it's going to be a really bad day. I truly hope I'm wrong about that, and I have an alright day to say the very least. Just have to wait and see i guess. xx

GOOGLE KNOWS ALL
Nifty little site on our great world wide web is what google knows:. It's pretty much large black, bold text against a plain white page that proclaims the different things Google knows.
For example, "google knows how to make a milkshake that brings all the boys to the yard.".
Or my favourite, "google knows where the g-spot is. (ok, not really.)" LOL, love!

BRAIN RULES BY JOHN MEDINA
Dr. John Medina is a biologist and a research consultant who reveals an lifelong interest that describes how the brain sciences predetermines how we live ours lives. In his book; Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, School, and Home; Medina exposes facts everyoneshould know about getting our brains active to improve daily living. He uncovers how we learn, how stress and our sleeping patterns effect our brains, and why it's so vital for us to indulge in repetition.
Each chapter describes a rule and what scientists know about our brains regarding that rule, and then Medina presents ideas and exercises to excerise and transform day to day lives.
The Rules
Exercise Rule #1 : Exercise boosts brain power.
Survival Rule #2 : The human brain evolved, too.
Wiring Rule #3 : Every brain is weird differently.
Attention Rule #4 : We don't pay attention to boring things.
Short-term Memory Rule #5 : Repeat to remember.
Long-term Memory Rule #6 : Remember to repeat.
Sleep Rule #7 : Sleep well, think well.
Stress Rule #8 : Stressed brains don't learn the same way.
Sensory Integration Rule #9 : Stimulate more of the senses.
Vision Rule #10 : Vision trumps all other senses.
Gender Rule #11 : Male and female brains are different.
Exploration Rule #12 : We are powerful and natural explorers.

A GRIFFANDOR REUNION!
A few months ago I got sent this video, courtesy of Saranpaal, of J.K. Rowling delivering a speech to Harvard graduates of 2008. J.K. spoke really well and presented a very good speech. Like I've watched this thing a few times now lol.
Anyways, the reason why I'm posting about this video is because on Thursday I went to my mother's graduation. And the man who gave the graduation speech was useless. He spoke about issues that matter to no one but him, and he definitely did not give any advice to those UNSW graduates. It reminded me of the person that gave the speech at my year 12 graduation, useless jibberish lol!!
J.K. talks about topics that are necessary to be brought up in life. She discusses the advantages of failing in life and also how important it is to maintain our imaginations. I know you're thinking of course a children's author will talk about the importance of one's imagination, but don't jump to any conclusions. I personally got a fair bit out of her speech. xx

TEA OR WATER? ZE GREAT DEBATE!
So there's this article on the BBC News website about tea being healthier than water. Researchers are stating that drinking about three to four cups of tea a day is just as healthy as drinking lots of water, with maybe even some extra health benefits. Nutritionists have discovered that tea rehydrates (even though it is a common belief that it dehydrates) and also protects consumers against heart diseases and cancer.
Everyone knows that tea leaves have anti-oxidants, which are found in other foods as well, which prevent cell damage. Tea contains fluoride which protect and strength your teeth. Drinking tea is also better because even though water replaces fluids, tea replaces fluids and also contains anti-oxidants.
So have you had your daily dose? xx

DYING HAIR - PART THREE
I see the change now. It's still a dark brown, but definitely lighter than my natural colour. Theres this nice mousie brown glow under some lights. I think my hair is just too thick right now. Oh well, really should have thought of that before haha. I'm surprised it didn't occur to me before i dyed my hair, like i can't even wear my hair out anymore. It's truely that thick, just so unattractive. Yeah and the heat isn't really helping lol.

DYING HAIR - PART TWO
I changed my hair colour today. Finally! After weeks of thinking about, and staring at hair dyes in various stores. I used a Garnier dye, number 5 i think. Don't ask what it was called, cause i cannot remember at all.
It took me about 5 minutes to find the exact one that i bought. There were way too many brands, each with way too many colour choices. It cost be about $15.
The procedure wasn't hard or anything. Anyone could do this. At first i was all pumped and thought it would be a breeze. Then a couple of minutes into it i started fearing that i may need another set of hands or eyes to tell me what was going on at the back of my head. I had to take my glasses off as well, which just made things a tad bit more difficult. But I'm happy to say that i got through it :).
There was an odd mix of smells, at first it was a nice fruity smell then it would change to bleach. Oh and i did stain my skin. That freaked me out majorly. I had black stains appearing along my hair line, and on my skalp. I wasn't too worried about most of my skalp, just at the front. Kinda embarrasing.
While i was dying it the most tedious part was rinsing out the dye and the masque. It just seemed to take forever. I had to keep rinsing my hair until the water ran clear, but it just wouldn't run clear. So i totally killed my back trying to rinse my hair out in the tub. It still hurts like a bitch. Eventually i got it all out.
Then i was afraid that i really didn't get it all out, and it was gonna stain everything. But i fell asleep on the bean bags earlier, and no dye was left behind. All good!
But yeah anyway, after i finished i realised the most tedious part was waiting for my hair to dry so i could see if my hair changed colour or not. Gees took so long, that i fell asleep waiting haha. At least when i woke my hair was dryyyy! But, gosh, i need to change the lenses on my glasses, and this is affecting me trying to see what my hair looks like now. haha, yeah I'm totally not kidding. I have no idea what colour it is. So yeah! Like the colour i picked was still a dark brown, but obviously cause i had a darker colour the change wouldn't be the colour on the pack. So my hair's still a dark brown, but i can't see what colour exactly. Annoyinggggggggg!!!
I wanna go lighter lol, and i know I'm not meant to dye my hair again for 3 months but i don't care lol. Like i didn't do the allergy test, so sif I'm gonna care about anything else. Don't worry i will wait like 3-4 weeks, good enough right??
Anyways new simpsons on soon. Funniest Friends ep just finished lol. xx

COLOUR MY SKIES BABY
Gosh I really hate this mass of blog entries. I really need to be more regular with my blogging, it's not even like it's a big hassle or anything. A blog a day. I just need to try a might more.
Oh oh oh, dying hair tomorrow. Hopefully. If I remember to go buy dye. Worried about how light I should go so i actually get a good turn out. I'll check some stuff out on our great world wide web. I'm sure to find tones of oh so great advice lol.
Anyway, I shall keep ya'll posted on how things go.
Haha I really need to stop acting as if billions of people are reading this. Hey Andy and Reuel lol.

BALLET
Ballet is such a graceful sport. It's on my list of things I would've done as a child if I wasn't a major tom-boy. So now that I'm such a girly girl, I thought maybe I'd join an adult ballet class. It'd be great for my health as it's a form of exercise, it'd be heaps of fun, it'd meet new people (make friends, etc) and it'd be doing things to fill up my days.
I'm one of those busy people, I only enjoy life when I'm constantly busy. It makes me feel like I'm doing some worth while, and fulfilling. That I'm not just letting the days waste away.
Now, the adult bit is mainly because I don't want to enter comps or be drilled. Not that I'm afraid or anything, just that this is for fun and experience. Sports like ballet are best started at a very young age, so that your body grows around the sport and not the sporting growing around you. It just makes participating and competing all that much easier. But with saying that, it really is never too late to start something new.
Yeah so ballet in a relaxed, go at your own pace way. Love the idea. Prices aren't that bad either. These specific classes happen at Broadway (yeah i know a bit lengthy of a distance) and are $22 for single classes. There are bulk payments like second class per week is $17 extra, and my favourite, $170 for 10 classes. So yeah, my first move is to get my license, and then to take ballet lessons. YAY!
There are other things I was looking into, like French lessons and yoga classes in a group outside a gym atmosphere. But we'll get there soon enough. Oh and i want to learn how to play the violin. I'll save that story for a rainy day maybe lol.

DETOX DIETING
I know, i know it's been a VERY long time since my last post. BITE ME :). I'm sorry, I guess, just got a bit distracted. But even though I've been outrageously lazy (lol), I have been bookmarking things, so dwwww!
Anyway, back to business, if you all remember I blogged about Andrew G's blog a while ago. Well while I was surfing his blog I found a nifty little post. I love this list. It's pretty much a detox program for your whole life. So not just what you put into your body, but daily activities like the amount of tv you watch and simple things like being polite.
It's a nice little reminder of how precious life is and how amazing you can make it for yourself if you give good karma to yourself and those around you. So yes, no underage sex (haha) :).
So for me that includes spending A LOT less money weekly, spent like 4 dollars last week. So proud of myself. And yes theres probably more things, but please baby steps lol.
Oh FYI driving lesson this saturday, yay! I'm being good, seeeeee. Yeah I understand that I need to learn how to drive badly, life would be that tad bit easier yknow.

THE NAPBOOK
Reuel sent me an offline message on Gmail earlier telling me to blog about this new design that's been released at an Apple store in Iceland.
The design, created by Hafsteinn Juliusson, is a laptop bag that doubles as a pillow (The Napbook). So all you uni/work nappers out there can start jumping up and down in sheer excitement (i know i am :P). The idea is brilliant! The bags are simple yet cute, with paddy on the front flap, so you can rest your head without spreading open the bag.
So while your at uni getting bored; or at work tired of your annoying boss; or just on the train/bus on your way home, napping has become ultra comfortable.

DANCE A LOT
A friend from work, Steven, got the chance to dance at Flo Rida's gig in Sydney. The dance group that he's apart of opened up for Flo.
I found a video of it on youtube, and the routine is amazing. Everybody has to see this.
Unfortunately I don't know how to add video's to my blog yet, so I shall link everyone instead :)

IT'S A G THING
I think we were talking about Andrew G at work, and I asked whether anyone knew what the G stood for. Of course, no one knew. So when i got home I wiki-ed "Andrew G", and found out that his full name is Andrew Jonas Gunsberg, who would have thought lol.
Actually, on that note I think I shall find out what Jackie O's full name is. Woah, her name is Jacqueline Ellen Last O'Neil Henderson. Apparently she was married to a guy named Phil O'Neil, and that's where the 'O' comes from. Henderson is her current husband's (Lee) surname.
So, back to Andrew G. When I as wiki-ing his name, I also came across his blog. I know that it's not that exciting that Andrew G owns a blog, but the things he blogs about aren't lame. And he swears! (haha, yes that's my favourite bit). G even mentions that the blog has nothing to do with what he does, and that it's just a whole lot of ranting.

PLAY TIME
I was browsing through old entries on swissmiss again. I haven't been on her blog in a few weeks (maybe even a month, ouch!). But, i found a picture of a young lady on a swing that was located at a bus stops with an ad-shell. The swing is part of artist, Bruno Taylor's, projects to make public spaces more playful.
I googled Bruno Taylor, who conveniently does not have a website, and found a video he sent to Pixelsumo. Taylor is undertaking two projects, both surrounding playful spaces.

NOT LIKING THIS
My blog lives in another time zone. It's the 1st of September (first day of Spring, YAY!!) but the blog below says the 31st of August.
ewwww, i need to fix this fast.
Gosh, so not good with this settings stuff.
Ok off to find a new timezone.

MOOLAHHH ..
So Reuel says that i need to start spending my money outside of fashion. Well actually at first he said outside of clothing, and ofcourse i rebuted with the fact that i buy shoes, jewellary, etc. Then he changed his mind to outside fashion. So naturally i said to him "ideas".
Reuel believes i should also be spending my money on driving lessons, concert tickets and comic books. Comic books, i turned into "reading materials". And i also added onto the list a camera (slr ofcourse) and a ninetendo ds (because buying wii fit will only be a waste of money lol).
I dont want to really pay for driving lessons, im only learning how to drive an auto which i can be taught from parents. Just a matter of getting lessons off them. I should start asap, get something out of the way. It'll only benefit me in the end, hmm.
So if anyone else has any great suggestions to where my money should be going, please don't hesitate to voice!

I AM A MERMAID PRINCESS.'S PHOTOSTREAM
My friend Hanah An has a Flickr pro page. She has an amazing eye for photographs, and also for taking them. Her knowledge of lighting, setting and even location is superb. But don't take my word for it, have a look at her page.
Hanah takes pictures of herself, family members and friends. There are some photos, which aren't hers, that she has uploaded to give her regular fans a feel of her passion and her favourites i guess.
She does media and communications at uni, and has told me she does photography shoots and services as well.
Even if you're not into photography, she has amazing dresses and slips that everyone should check out (lol)!! Oh and she's hawt :)

LIST IT, NOW!
Saranpaal sent me a link to an online to-do list. The concept pretty much is you create your own list, and the web page gets you to achieve activity (or whatever it is) one by one.
So you'll be going through it all in the order you type in each "thing" you need to-do.
Honestly, the idea to me is lame. But there's this weird attraction about the simplicity of the font on the plain white page.
If your the type of person that has trouble with lists, or just wants another page to visit on our exciting wide world of web then check it out. xx

FYI
For the haters, i have not seen the second Dark Knight movie.
Ps, first time a Batman movie/tv series has been called the Dark Knight. It's original name :)

MY BROTHER THE JOKER
So i believe my brother inspired the make-up for Heath's Joker in the second Dark Knight movie. I wasn't able to transfer the video from my handycam for reasons unknown to me, so instead i took pictures of the handycam screen. The pictures aren't that great, but it's definitely better than something.
I'm sure you'll notice what i mean. :)

A LIL SUMFIN' SUMFIN'
Snack foods that sound like sex acts anyone?
The other day it was brought to my attention by Reuel of a flickr album that contained pictures of snack foods that had dirty names. It's just the pictures of the packaging, not the food item itself.
They're quite funny, and you might end up "ewing" some of them (or not). But, i don't really understand how "sip-n-chew" is a dirty act, but enlighten me please (LOL).

INSTANT ORIGAMI
I found this on a very old entry by swissmiss a couple of weeks ago. I had totally forgotten about it until now, because my internet was really slow when i first tried to view the page. But now that it's running on good speed again, I had a look at the link. To my horror it was not what i thought or was hoping it would be. Funny, none the less, but still disappointing.

TIE-DYE
My previous blog, also the first one, i mentioned wearing scarves as an accessory. Especially trying out different colours. Well, Legs 11 has brought a range of tie-dye scarves (click me) that can be purchased on the site at Trust Fun, or at Tsubi stores.
But seriously, $165 for each scarf? Major rip off, i say create your own. Buy a tie-dying kit from spotlight and go wild. That way it'll be personal and reflect your style greater than something bought at a store. The plus side is you can tie-dye other things besides scarves, like shirts.

BITS AND PIECES REALLY
Working at McDonald's gives you a wide range of individual (and some not so individual) fashion styles to look at. I serve A LOT of customers in a day, and get a look-see at my fair share of cute bits and pieces.
It's the scarves, the bangles, the long necklaces and the belts. It's the small accessories, which are being worn in multiple layers that make all the difference. Gone are the days of shirts that say it all with girls now walking around in plane white tee's wearing gold/silver/bronze jewelery to make their statements.
I love the simplicity of a richly coloured scarf. You can wear it in so many different ways. People should play around with them, tie them differently; knot them; wear more than one at a time; even be adventurous with colours. Being bold isn't a crime!
Check out this uber cool bella from Garance Doré
