For-Tomorrow is an online store that houses predominantly male clothing from various stores and designers. They have a blog section, which recently has had high traffic about RAFW runways.

So if you want to check out a few live runway shows from designers such as Saint Augustine Academy or Kirrily Johnston then head over to http://www.f-t.com.au/blog/ and enjoy!

VALENTINE'S DAY

This year for Valentine's Day, Manit was my valentine! I gave her a home-made card and home-made white roses and a box of Raffaello lol.

My brother and I had a massive bonding session while I was making the card. Mainly because he wanted to do something creative too. So he drew a picture and stuck the love hearts that I stuck on the card I gave Manit all over the picture. He did that on both sides of the paper. Of course he got PVC glue on the floor when he turned the paper around to use the other side, but I managed to get it off without the parentals noticing lol.

He was very inquisitive about what I was making, and what I was using various crafty equipment I had layed out. And annoyingly when I was going to use them haha.

I made a single page card. On which I drew alternating red lines of roughly two different thicknesses in oil pastels. Then on the bottom right hand corner I pasted a red envelope out of tissue-y paper, which I constructed myself. I then poked holes along the side of the page, on the left side, where I fed red-spotted ribbon through and tied it. I also randomly tied the same ribbon into the top right corner. After that I stuck red love hearts cut out of felt paper, with a glued backing, all over. And they were of different sizes.

The roses really bugged me. I wanted to make them out of foil, but was not able too. Which really frustrated, mainly because I did not give up for hours and it just kept failing on me. The foil was too fragile. Then I had trouble with the roses altogether. I really needed someone to show me in person, not through youtube. That would have helped a lot! But obviously by that time (the day before Valentine's Day, close to 10pm) I was asking for too much lol. So I made rosebuds instead. Well actually what had happened was I thought I was making a rose, and I made one but it turned out that it was actually a rosebud that someone had labelled a rose. LIES!!

So I made rosebuds instead, because those instructions were easier to follow. I made three of them, and put wooden sticks up them and made them into a little bouquet.

Then on Valentine's Day, while I was at the mall thing near Strathfield Station I bought the Raffaello box from the Woolies before Prabpreet's 21st. I gave it all to Manit at Prabpreet's, which I was very glad fell on Valentine's Day. All in all this year's Valentine's Day was oarsum!! :)

NEW YEAR'S EVE!!

Sorry, I do realise new year's eve was nearly five months ago but I just have not gotten around to blogging about it.

I went to Milson's Point with some friends, and watched the midnight fireworks from there. They were the best I've ever seen at new year's. I really can not wait to see how they get topped for the start of 2010.

They had new effects this year. And I had theeee best view of them, from right underneath the bridge. It was fun and exciting, and yet a little scary at the same time. It just felt as if some of the fireworks were going to fall down on us haha. Don't ask okay, you were not there lol.

Sorry, I do not really have a lot to say about this mainly because it was such a long time ago.

Try to get out of Milson's Point was pure hell. We decided to walk across the bridge, which was fun, except seeing all that rubbish was not. We can be really dirty at times. I guess the cleaners get paid, etc etc etc. But that really is not excuse. And kudos to them for starting at such a ridiculous hour to make our city streets nice and clean again. Thank you! Anyway, moving on. It took us about two hours to get into the main heart of the city. Specifically because of the mass of people who were trying to get out of Milson's Point with us. Then from there my train ride took two hours because I had it kept stoping for a total of forty minutes at various locations along the way. Majorily frustrating by the way!!

I got home at 5:30am lol, yay! My mum loved that a lot as well.

HAIRCUT!!

So I got my hair cut. Short. Very short. I could easily pass as a lesbian short. Haha. But I like it. Well somedays. When it's flat and doesn't fall the wrong way. When long strands aren't trying to mingle with the short sections, and vice versa.

Before I got my hair cut, my re-growth looked shocking. Bad. It was grossly noticeable and I was too lazy to do anything about it. But once I got my hair cut it looked nice, as though it was a look I was going for.

I went to a different hairdressers this time around. Actually I never return to a single hairdressers. But I think I will be to these guys. I got my hair shampooed, cut and blow-dried for $49. And they're just one level below work. Anyway, the lady that cut my hair was quite terrified. She couldn't believe that I really wanted it all gone. She kept asking me over and over whether to cut it or not, and I just laughed. I think I told her about 7 times to cut it, before she frighteningly chopped a section off. Poor thing asked me if I had a husband or a boyfriend, because if I did I should consolidate them first. Haha.

The hairdresser lady said she'd never done a cut like this before, she was quite nervous about shaving the back of it.

If you remember from my previous post, I got my hair cut like that mousy brown haired girl. The one with the angular cut.

After I got it done, I realised how badly I looked, as if I had helmet hair. It was horrible. It's weird straightening it with my straightener because it flicks the ends out without me having to rotate it or anything. Apparently it's because it's thin. So I try to use the thick one whenever I get a chance too. But most of the time I can flatten it by wearing a hat, or pinning it down. The back of it's gotten so long now, the section that got shaved. Maybe I should go get it re-shaved.
