ILA SECURITY PERSONAL ALARM

Did you know that you can set your car alarm off from within your house. It was created purposely like this incase an intruder entered your home.

Well, the clever people at Ila Security have created a little personal alarm system for women to use when they might be in danger. Especially when you stay out all night in the City and have to catch that dirty night rider home. All you have to do is pull the chain, and a high piercing, female scream will be emitted that is designed to schock and confuse your attacker.

You can buy the alarm in various different sizes and gadgets, like a keyring or a dog leash with a built in torch for those late night walks. They come in such cute colours and patterns, that no one would be able to suspect a thing.

Sadly though they are not yet available worldwide. xx

LEST WE FORGET [25-04-10]

Today is ANZAC Day.

Today we remember. We remember those who faught bravely to save the ones they loved and left back home. We remember, in both Australia and New Zealand every year on the 25th of April, those men/boys who were the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Those who served and died.
To me ANZAC Day is important because boys younger than what I am today died fighting for their country. They gave their life to save others. They did an honourable thing. And it means a lot to me.

FIND THE TIME CLOCK [22-04-2010]

Incredible Things, the other day, blogged about this awesome wall clock available at ModCloth for $37.99US. It's like a find-a-word but on a metal sheet, instead of on paper. The numbers for the time have already been circle, as shown above, but there are 14 other hidden words for you to find while you're watching the time!

ALL THE WONDERFUL PHASES OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT [21-10-2010]

At college I do a subject on Project Management. For the first assessment of this subject, we were asked to outline what the Planning Phase of Project Management was, list all the smaller phases within this phase and define them. It was just a research task because we had missed so many class due to public holidays and our lecturer travelling overseas to work on his own project (as a project manager).

This assessment was frustrating me because of all the information I had filter to before I found something I felt was substantial and appropriate to use. After finishing the assessment, I jumped onto Swiss-Miss and had a browse through her latest blogs and found this...

I started to laugh. So thank you Swiss-Miss for letting me see the lighter side of this situation. Thanks to this, I was the only person Friday morning (23-04-2010) not freaking out.

TEALEAVE SUBMARINE [19-04-2010]

A while ago, Incredible Things blogged about a infuser you can purchase for loose tea leaves. It's a little submarine, AND IT'S YELLOW!!! (commence singing of Yellow Submarine here.. :) ).

This submarine works just like any other infuser, but is made out of silicone, making it perfectly dishwasher safe.

It can be purchased from Monkey Business, but I cannot seem to figure out the price. Sorry!

BRICK LIGHT BY LEGO [16-10-2010]

I'm loving this Brick Light by Lego that Incredible Things blogged about last week.

The Brick Light is great to use for those places where it's always too dark to see what's going on. Like inside your wardrobe/cupboard. All you have to do is mount the Brick Light's frame onto any surface, and then lock the lighting unit into place.

It justifies it's LEGO name brand by comping apart from it's mounting section to be used as a portable light.

JELLIO SUPER TABLE [13-04-2010]

Incredible Things posted an entry about this awesome table you can purchase from here for $900. I love ettt, it's so Big Bang Theory-esque.

A CHAIRLESS CHAIR BY VITRA [13-10-2010]

Chairless by Vitra is a minimalistic design of a well a chair!

The idea is to strap this Chairless chair around your back and knees, giving you a perfect seating position that would normally require you to wrap your arms around your knees. Thus leaving your arms free to do whatever you want.

I need one of these desperately. When I try to sit on the floor, I can feel myself slowly hunching my back, which hurts. But still I continue to do it.

You can purchase Chairless by clicking here, but their first batch has sold out. Don't fret, there will be a new batch available from June 2010.

ALESSI BLANK WALL CLOCK [10-04-2010]

Incredible Things recently blogged about a wall clock with a "white-board" surface. The numbers have been removed for this product so the buyer can write in whatever suits them.

Designer Martí Guixé created this wall clock to encourage people to place in a day to day schedule, kind of like creating a timetable when studying/or working on a major project at work. So everyday you can put in a few hours section of working, and then break time for lunch. This way when you look up at the time, you'll be reminded to go eat, sleep, pick up the kids, etc.

AWESOME COPYING [09-04-2010]

I don't know if you remember, but a while ago I blogged about felt camera cases you can purchase off Etsy.

Well, Incredible Things recently blogged about them too!

I loved the fact that something I have blogged about nearly a year ago (i think) they chose to blog about this month. It was a very exciting moment.

JASMINE CANDLES [07-04-2010]

I bought a Jasmine Candle about 3 weeks ago because it smelt so divine. I don't even have to lit the candle for my room to smell like Jasmines. The candle has such a strong smell, that removing the plastic wrapping around it was more than enough!

I love burning it anyway most nights, so I can fall asleep to the smell of Jasmines in my room and wake to the exact same sensation. Best of all, candle light is so relaxing.

I WORK TOO HARD [06-04-2010]

What we do at work :) :) :)

EARTH HOUR 2010 [05-04-2010]

On the 27th of March, 2010 this year's Earth Hour was "celebrated". (I don't really think using the word celebrated is appropriate, but meh!) My brother and I were the only two at home this year during Earth Hour, not sure where everyone else had gone too though, and we particapted completely.

I know burning candles is not good for the environment, but I burn a candle most nigthts in my room. So doing so on this day didn't really affect me a great deal.

I spent the hour laying on the floor just taking some time out before I continued with my studying. And my brother spent the hour doing his homework.

EASTER SUNDAY [4TH APRIL, 2010]

I do a subject at college called Resort and Spa Management. For this subject, our first assessment was to visit a resort or spa, and partake in a service they provide whilst evauluating this service secretly.

I jumped at this opportunity to get a full body massage done. I visited the Amora Spa, which is located within the Amora Jamison Hotel, and got a Swedish Massage done.

I loved it!! Every last bit as well. The massage was amazing, and my back and shoulders felt incredibly good afterwards. I've decided to make this a regularly monthly event, getting a massage that is, not visiting that particular spa. But everyone should indeluge every now and again. It feels so great too.

Above is a picture of the treatment room. xx

EASTER SATURDAY [3RD APRIL, 2010]

Dad did some gardening two days ago, so the grass in the backyard is short. Yesterday morning, when we woke up, we had three fluffy rabbits munching away. One in the front yard, and two out the back. They were all different colours and very cute. They belong to one of our next door neighbours, who own a fair few pets to say the least.

All day they hopped around and just ate. For a little while they disappeared, but then returned after the sun had set. Don't worry, I did tell my neighbours that they had escaped, but by the time I had informed them the rabbits had left our backyard too.

I did accidently scare one during the night. I opened the front door, and the black one was out the front of the house, it heard me come outside and tried to run. But it accidently ran into the fence. I know I still feel really bad.

Later on in the day I found a hole along one of the side fences, well underneath the fence, where they'd entered from. I thought it was really cute that on Easter Friday we had rabbits :) xx

SO...

I've been extremely neglecting in the past three weeks or so since Easter. I've been busy, and it's hard to find sufficient enough time to be able to sit down and blog properly. But I have today, a lazy Sunday day to sit, relax and do a lot of well needed blogging.

What I am going to do is continuing blogging from the last post, so as if to say today is the 3rd of April, and I will finish blogging when I actually hit today's date.

Cheerio, pip pip
