A PLANET OUTSIDE OF OUR SOLAR SYSTEM

This is the first photo of a planet outside of our solar system. This isn't our sun, but it is a sun which is about 470 light-years away from our home. It's name is 1RXS J160929.1-210524, and that tiny orange sphere near it has been confirmed to be orbiting it. Pretty much this is the first photo of an extra-solar planet.
This photo was actually taken in 2008, but scientists weren't sure until now about it being an orbiting planet. So apparently now we know that this planet follows an orbit around the star 300 times larger than Earth's orbit. Also, this planet has about eight times the mass of Jupiter and is much hotter with a temperature of 1482C (as opposed to -110C of the biggest planet in our solar system).
This discovery may challenge the current model of planetary theories, and the star system may possibly much older than it's actual age! But maybe it's not even a planet...

INSOMNIAC
I have serious sleeping problems.
It takes me a while to fall asleep because my mind never stops thinking. I have to calm myself down and slowly fall into a sleep. I don't know what to do any more. I know people say you should tire yourself out during the day, trust me I'm already tired to begin with due to all the lack of sleep, nothing works.
The worst nights are those where I just cannot fall asleep. I can feel I won't be able to sleep so I don't even attempt to try. I envy those people who can sleep after their heads hit their pillows. I wish I was one of those people. I was I could get a good nights sleep, whatever that is, every night. Yes, I'm not even sure of how many hours of sleep I should be getting. When I get eight, I'm still tired. The only times I feel good is after nine and a half hours of sleep, but seriously I don't have time to be sleeping for that long. SIGH. I should go back to the gym!

GOOGLE SEARCH CEASES TO EXIST IN CHINA SINCE LAST FRIDAY

Since Google announced it would no longer censor any search results on Google.cn, the Chinese Government has revoked it's Internet Content Provider license. Plain and simple; Chinese people can no longer access Google. This by the way, has resulted in offices shutting down in China that strongly relied on Google's services.
For the last month though Google has been redirecting it's Chinese users from Google.cn to Google.com.hk, their Hong Kong search engine. Google stated that this had been "working well for users and for Google". Unfortunately it hasn't been working so well for the Chinese Government.
Google will still continue to exist in the country through Android phones and other services alike, but for now search engine Baidu will be delivering search results for everyone.

THIS CARDBOARD BOX WILL GROW INTO A HUNDRED TREES

The Life Box is a normal cardboard box that anyone can use to send goods in, and to receive goods in. It can also be recycled, like any other cardboard box, but recycling would actually be doing it injustice and wasting it's purpose! For the Life Box can be torn up into pieces and planted to grow 100 trees.
I'm not even kidding, each box is made up from recycled paper lace embedded with 100 or so tree seeds and each seed is dusted with mycorrhizal fungal spores. Thanks to the fungus, when planted, the seeds sprout.

Right now these boxes are only available on a small scale, ranging from $50 to $70 each, but they can be purchased for business (only 100 boxes at a time though). But regardless of the price, imagine what this could do for our environment. If one tree survives for over 30 years, it'll suck up a literal tonne of carbon.

BACK TO SCHOOOOL
first day back and I'm cold and my back hurts a lot! I really should have gone to the physiotherapist during the holidays. I love when holidays end and all I can do is think about what I really should have done with all the time I had. But in the end, I'm glad that there were days were I did nothing :)

SOME STUFF I'M LOVING RIGHT NOW
This is me everyday of my life whenever someone utters the words "how can you do that"or "you can't do that". I turn to them and say, "watch me". Plain and simple :) :)
Sometimes you have to create your own path, your own journey. Stop following others and what they have done before you because that was their journey and they've fulfilled it.. now it's your turn!
Loving this shirt so much, can be purchased off Etsy for $18 USD. xx

"DEAR BELL AND YELLOW PAGES, WE ALL HAVE A THINK CALLED THE INTERNET. PLEASE STOP WASTING STUFF."
Yellow Pages, sorry to say, but it's time for you to die. You guys have a website, let's just leave it at that :)

REAL LIFE TRANSFORMERS?
A designer, name unknown right now, has transformed his Lady Samara Dive (his very first car) into a robot!
The robot above weighs 90kg and stands two metres tall. Okay so it's not completely transformers in real life, but it's truly as close as we've gotten so far!!The designer has stated that "'The Transformer' symbolises the relationship between man and machine... 'The Transformer' stands in a position of ready surprise. He is in the moment between knowing what he was and knowing what he has become..."

THE CHORCK; CHOPSTICK AND FORK
One part chopstick, one part fork and one part awesome! The Chork is an East meets West eating utensil that delivers the best of both worlds. You can use it as a normal fork, turn it around for the chopstick or you can cheat with the trainer setting. The trainer setting/cheater setting is just flipping the Chork around and using the chopsticks while they are joined together. And the chopstick setting is actually pulling them apart, I'm not sure if you can join them back together though. Hopefully you can!Chork's are made from Food Grade Hi Impact Polystyrene, and come in packages of 500 (individually wrapped), and are available in standard colours of red, black, or tan but can be made in other requested colours.
